Mark Borckardt pointed out an Aaron Feldman ad for Ron Guth, in The Numismatist for February 1970, page 234.

"Several years ago I attempted to find Feldman's first use of "Buy the Book Before the Coin." The earliest example I could find was his ad in the March 1966 issue of The Numismatist. Of course, identifying anything as the first occurrence gives Joel Orosz the opportunity to find an earlier example."
