MORE ON THE INDIANA RELEASE OF THE NEW LINCOLN CENTIn an article published last about the U.S. Mint festivities in Indiana for the launch of the new Lincoln Cent design, Mint Director Ed Moy was quoted saying Moy said about 20,000 of the shiny new pennies from the Philadelphia mint were brought to Thursday’s festivities in a Brinks truck. In the back-of-the-envelope-calculation department, John Burns writes: OY MOY!! 20,000 pennies, oh boy oh boy!! Ahh, wait a minute, that's $200!! Or 4 bags!! I could have carried them in and saved them the $500 or so for the Brinks truck. Oh well, just look at the priceless publicity they got!!
