SOME RECENT COIN DESIGNS: SEPTEMBER 13, 2015

Based on dealers', mints' and central Banks' news mails, ultra-modern numismatist Pabitra Saha reports on the latest coin designs. Here are some that caught my eye recently -Editor

Ireland 2016 2€ Bimetallic and Silver Coins

Ireland 2016 2€ Bimetallic coin Ireland 2016 2€ silver coin

I like the silver one. Ordinarily wordy coins fail, but the text is used here as a big part of the overall design. -Editor

Latvia 2015 5 Euro On Poets Rainis and Aspazija

Latvia 2015 5 Euro obverse Latvia 2015 5 Euro reverse

This is quite a novel design - I don't recall seeing anything quite like this before. An effective way of honoring two subjects on one coin. Neat. -Editor
Here's a design I came across elsewhere. -Editor

Austria Burgenland Coin

Austria Burgenland Coin obverse Austria Burgenland Coin reverse

The obverse is busy and cartoonlike, but I guess I like it nonetheless, It's a pretty coin overall. -Editor
