PROMOTING NBS ON EBAY

Larry Mitchell writes: "To fund my return to grad school, I've
been slowly but surely selling off non-essential parts of my
numislit library on EBay. This has been going on for a little
over 4 months. Every bidder who bids on an item of mine
receives the attached message. I've been keeping count, and
9 persons who received this message are now E-Sylum
subscribers (there may have been some that I missed).
Might work for other NBS members auctioning items on
   similar services...."

The message reads, in part: "If you have an especial interest in
numismatic literature, you might find the following sites of
   particular interest:

      http://www.coinbooks.org
      http://NumisLit.listbot.com"

The second reference is a moderated email list Larry runs for
general discussions of numismatic literature topics. The list is
independent of NBS, and intended as a free-form discussion
list, unlike The E-Sylum, which is an edited publication.
