NUMISMATICALLY SIGNIFICANT CIRCULATION FINDS
Last week David Powell asked about unlikely numismatic items readers have found in ordinary circulation. -EditorJoe Boling writes:
XF-AU $10 series 1929 national bank note on the Chase National Bank of New York, found in a military payroll in Grafenwoehr, Germany in 1965 or 1966. Naturally I did not pay it out, but bought it with a $10 that I fortunately had in my wallet that day.
