ART AND VICTOR DAVID BRENNER TAKE ON TIMES SQUARE

Dick Johnson passed along information about an art event in New York's Times Square. The numismatic connection? One of the artworks prominently displayed was coin designer Joel Iskowitz' work showing Victor David Brenner meeting with President Teddy Roosevelt discussing the idea for Brenner's Lincoln cent. Joel forwarded these images for us. -Editor

Joel writes:

A pretty amazing venue. Art Takes Time Square was the themed competition and my "Inspiration of the Lincoln Cent" was chosen as one of the many artworks for display.

Here's the crowd viewing the work on one of the giant screens set up for the event.
