Regarding the Vail medal Jon Radel wrote about recently, web site visitor Shauna Willoughby of
Alberta, Canada writes:
I have a copy of the book – “For Noteworthy Public Service” dated 1950. Attached is a scan of the story found within its pages on Mrs Josephine L August.
There’s also a beautifully embossed image of the Vail Medal – both sides - with a description of the medal as well.

Thanks! This is great information.
