THE BRAILLE COINS OF ECUADOR
The catalog has little text in the modern section, and does not mention the braille dots. The coins are all pictured, and I see the dots on all 1988 denominations - 5, 10, 20, and 50 sucres. The 1991 coins aren't pictured, but I assume they have the same design. That makes eight different braille Ecuadorian coins. I reached out to Dale Seppa to confirm. -Editor Dale writes: "I have to admit that I was completely oblivious to the braille dots although I vaguely remember seeing an article about them at some point in the past. "However, I did a quick search and I can confirm that both the W I D E date and narrow date 50 sucres dated 1991 do have the 5 dots at the base of the coin below the denomination and I enclose a couple of pictures. I had to double check as I was not sure if both wide and narrow dates had the dots."
