QUERY: AN ODD 1943 COPPER CENT

Howard Daniel forwarded this unusual item from an online auction. Is it half of a magician's piece? The 1943 date and copper appearance are interesting. Howard notes: "A couple of the high points show steel underneath on the obverse, and the reverse appears to be steel." -Editor
