New 2026 Edition – Updated and Expanded
with Newly Recorded Coins
Shipping from the end of September The 2026 edition follows Gadoury's traditional and well-established classification system, while incorporating important updates and newly recorded coins. Coins are arranged by reign in chronological order, then classified by denomination from the lowest to the highest value, according to the monetary system of the period. Metals are presented in their traditional sequence: copper, billon, silver and gold. Each type is illustrated at actual size and includes its main technical specifications: metal and fineness, official weight and diameter. A rarity scale ranging from C for common coins to R5 for the rarest types provides an immediate indication of scarcity. Values are given only for coins whose existence has been confirmed and for which at least one example has been seen on the market. Where reliable pricing information is insufficient, a dash "–" is used instead of a valuation. This new 2026 edition has been carefully revised and expanded, with updated information, new references and additional coins recorded from recent discoveries and market appearances.
