The exceptional numismatic library formed by Robert A. Schuman, M.D., is being sold by Kolbe & Fanning Numismatic Booksellers on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The focus of the Schuman Library is on U.S. numismatics, and it includes a wide array of classic auction catalogues (including a complete set of Lyman Low and U.S. Coin Company catalogues) as well as important works on large cents, Hard Times Tokens, and much else. The printed catalogue has been mailed to all active customers on our mailing list. As international mail speeds have been inconsistent, we encourage our foreign clients to consult the electronic catalogue in case their printed catalogue does not arrive promptly. A PDF of the printed catalogue has been posted to our main website at numislit.com for those who prefer that format. Bids placed via post, email, or phone must be received by September 25, the day before the sale, in order for them to be processed. Advance absentee bids may also be placed at any time online at bid.numislit.com. Internet bidding will be available during the sale itself through the same platform.
